Photovoice Workshop
In May of 2026, I hosted a small-group, in-person, intensive workshop with a hands-on introduction to the photovoice methodology—a critical participatory action research approach that amplifies voices through photography and dialogue.
It was two days long, and attendees gained practical experience and knowledge about designing and facilitating a photovoice project and received personalized support and feedback on their project-in-motions.
It was a complete blast.
"This experience opened up my eyes to the world of critical participatory action research — in particular, photovoice. Before this workshop, I was a novice photovoice researcher, but after this workshop, I feel ready to facilitate my own photovoice project thanks to Dr. Latz and the other amazing participants." Hunter Kulesza, Doctoral Candidate, Baylor University
Hosting this event gave me a TON of energy and excitement around doing more of this work. That said, forthcoming opportunities and events will be added and shared here in time!
